Hello! My name is Megan Richter and I have been proudly teaching in Hilliard City Schools since 1999. I was first hired as a Proficiency Test tutor at Scioto Darby Elementary. After working for two years as a tutor, I took a fourth grade position at which I remained for the next seven years. Then in the Fall of 2008, I came to Hilliard Sixth Grade Station. Since arriving at Station, I have spent my days teaching Social Studies and Language Arts.
I am originally from the Hilliard area. However, the "Hilliard" I grew up in looks very different from today's "Hilliard". I grew up in the Timberbrook neighborhood with my mom, dad, and three brothers. In fact, my brothers and I spent many days playing and riding our dirt bikes in the field that now holds Hilliard Horizon Elementary. I remember watching the Sweetwater subdivision be built, and it was BIG NEWS when Perkins, and later Meijer, moved into the area!
I attended St.Cecilia Elementary and Bishop Ready High School. After graduating high school I headed to Bowling Green State University. GO FALCONS!!! In August of 1999, I graduated and immediately moved back home to begin my career with Hilliard City Schools. The year of 2003 turned out to be a busy year in my life...not only did I earn my Masters Degree, but I also married my husband, Joe.
Today, Joe and I are proud parents of our two children, Emma and Caleb!
